Textured Mandala Painting Class – starting 22 May 2023
Slovenian version here
Mandalas are artworks in the form of a circle, their architecture consists of various repeating patterns. Such a design evokes in us a sense of order, stability, and harmony. They represent a human in its own integrity. When we put it in a room, looking at it will evoke positive feelings and we will feel more calm.
Mandalas are not only meant for observation, a similar effect can be achieved when drawing them. Drawing a mandala requires focus and an empty head, so they can serve us perfectly to relax and calm our body and mind. Many people say that drawing mandalas helps them if they have any difficult feelings, a tendency towards depression or anxiety. Using vibrant colors affects our mood and drawing regularly will make us feel better in the long run.
In addition to everything mentioned above, with every creative work that we repeat and improve, we also build our self-confidence. Creating something with our hands and seeing the finished art piece is something that nourishes us from the inside out.
In this course, I teach you how to create a completely personalized mandala by yourself! All art processes are presented in detail, from gathering ideas and sketching, to the use of colours, painting techniques and final execution.
Take a look at the class:
In this class, you will be guided through the process of creating a textured Mandala painting from start to finish. The process will include making the texture, creating the background, a bit of colour theory and colour blending techniques, information about sketching and designing your own mandala and bringing it all together into one detailed piece of soulful art.
Each step is shown in detail, including tips and techniques that will make your work easier. If you think that you don’t have enough drawing skills, it’s not true, because the structure of the mandala is made with the help of stencils, and you don’t necessarily have to be good at drawing. You can include texture work or leave the background plain.

“My new painting is impressive to me because it is the craft of my hands, all of me, my fusion with creativity and curiosity inside me, my creation, completely naive and unplanned. When I look at it, I feel warmth in my chest, love, I feel me.”
