Project #TTC “Things that count” started quite spontaneously. One day I was thinking, which values are important to me. How to live and work according to my core values and how to implement them to my everyday life. I set myself a special task, selecting some values that I consider to be the most important and creating one small artwork, for each value, every week. In the end I would put all those small pieces in one comprehensive work of art, just like some kind of mosaic.
I encourage you to start this journey too. It really helps to revaluate important things in life and reconsider the path you are taking. Get your brushes, crayons, papers out and get creative!
Homework:
Identify your 5 core values and make a list. Then write down different areas of your life, that are truly most important to you: family, career, health, leisure, sport, music, relationships… Now rate how you implement your values for each area in your life (use 1 for not enough and 5 for enough).
For example: area: family; values – love 5, peace 4, happines 4, fun 2, security 5.
Do that for each area of your life and think about the score. Where can you improve things and what is already functioning really well?
My art project result is below. Note that I made this in my native language. The values that I included are: health, respect, action, gratitude, selfgrowth, knowledge, creativity, joy, love and empathy.
